Six games is all that's left before tournament time and even with home court advantage it isn't looking good for the slipping Hawks. The men came into conference play flying high and up until last week was in 3rd place. However after the BU upset on the 22nd things have been going downhill. The team has lost four straight two of them to Vermont. The real challenge is about to come as they rematch Maine of Thursday. UHA managed to squeeze out a three point win at Maine last month but the way they are playing now its not looking likely that we'll see a repeat.
So the question is. Is it too late for them to reclaim glory? Looking at the upcoming schedule three of the teams they play are above them in the standings and the other three are below. Right now the Hawks are in 6th place but a win Thursday could possibly knock them into 4th depending on the results of Wednesday's New Hampshire/Stony Brook game. Coach Gallagher seems to believe he just has to get the team to believe as well.Back to Main Page
