Women’s Basketball Team Sails to Victory Over Hofstra

The University of Hartford's women's basketball team cruised to a 31 point win over Hofstra this past Sunday, the largest margin of victory of the season. Hartford who was led by Danielle Hood with eleven points are now 8-2 overall on the season while Hofstra dropped to 2-5.
The Hawks had three players finish with double figures. Hood, Katie Kelly, and Lisa Etienne lead the team in shooting while Erica Beverly and Jonyce Hollins also lead the team in rebounds. Kelly was named the America East Nestle Purina ONE Player of the Game for her performance.
The Hawks had an impressive night shooting 82 percent from the free throw line and scoring 33 points off the bench.
Hartford next travels to Poughkeepsie, NY Wednesday night to take on the 2007 Sweet 16 Cinderella team, the Marist College Red Foxes. Game time is scheduled for 7:00 PM.
