Hartford Soccer Player Up for Award

Vote for University of Hartford's Carlos Villa for America East Men's Soccer Fans' Choice Player of the Year.

Fans of America East men's soccer can now voice their opinion on which the best player in the conference is.

Villa, a two-time America East Player of the Week, is up for the award after he led the Hawks in scoring this season with 25 points, including a team-high 11 goals. He had four game-winning goals and three assists. The junior transfer led the conference in goals and goals per game and was second in the league in points. Villa played and started in all 17 games as a key forward.

Voting for the 2008 America East Men's Soccer Fans' Choice Player of the Year will continue until noon on Monday, November 10. The award winner will be announced on Tuesday, November 11 via release at AmericaEast.com.
